Job description: The school psychologist intern will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psycho-educational assessments, participating on various school teams, and consulting with parents and teachers to provide recommendations to support students both at school and home. The intern will also assist with functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans.
Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of acceptable psychological testing procedures and practices is required. Knowledge of special education laws and regulations is required. Candidates must be knowledgeable of school law and the legal provisions related to childcare. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to function effectively as a team member in determining appropriate services for the children through such meetings as Child Study, Eligibility, IEP, etc. Interested applicants must be enrolled in a state approved program in school psychology at the master’s degree level.
